Integrating your own emails into BACKUP EAGLE Cloud

Do you use scripts or software you have developed yourself to back up data? With BACKUP EAGLE® Cloud, you can ensure that backup success is monitored, and missing backups are detected immediately.

Integrating BACKUP EAGLE® Cloud into your scripts or software is very easy.

Create an email with the following format and send it to BACKUP EAGLE Cloud:

This is a custom backup monitoring status mail

host name: WIN-DC-1		# name of the system in backup (required)
job name: DAILY BACKUP          # name of the backup job
amount: 1.55GB			# backup amount (optional) B, MB, GB, TB, PB can be used as units

# add messages as you like
info: custom backup started

# optionally mark the backup as failed

error: backup failed		# adding a line with any of the words "error", "failed", "warning", "fehler" or "warnung" will mark the backup as failed

Your backup solution is not currently supported by BACKUP EAGLE® Cloud or BACKUP EAGLE® Enterprise? No problem. 
Support us during the integration process! We need the emails sent by your backup solution. If several e-mail formats are possible, please send us all of them (e.g. HTML, CSV). Please insert the e-mails from your backup solution as an attachment in a new e-mail. The following screenshot illustrates how. This is necessary as simple forwarding changes the format of the e-mail whilst we need the original format.

After receiving the emails, our team will check them and you will receive feedback on possible integration.
