With versions 10.1.0 and 10.1.1, BACKUP EAGLE® is continuing its development trajectory. The focus is on two entirely new modules – ACCOUNTING and TAPE CONTROL – as well as the expansion of cloud support to include the N2W platform and numerous improvements to existing integrations. These new functionalities are complemented by a comprehensive package of security updates that address critical vulnerabilities in key frameworks.

New features

  • BACKUP EAGLE® ACCOUNTING – fully automated internal and external cost allocation; ERP integration; export to XLS, CSV and PDF
  • BACKUP EAGLE® TAPE CONTROL – centralised tape monitoring and lifecycle documentation; supports ISO 27001, TISAX, PCI and DORA
  • Security Cloud section (RSC & RSCP) – configuration documentation, full SLA output, cluster version overview
  • New integration: N2W – backup monitoring for AWS and Azure, including audit trail and long-term documentation

  • Web UI redesign; new MailIn integrations: Dell PowerProtect Cloud Snapshot Manager, Quest NetVault
  • AWS China support, Azure Activity Log Collection, Commvault audit trail
  • Tape auto-EOL, improved change tracking, comments per tape in the UI

The next service release is already in the pipeline. Plans include the expansion of Nutanix support, a new tenant management feature in the web UI, and Microsoft 365 support for Cohesity. Further details will follow with the release.
